Audrey Hepburn Blogathon–“Funny Face” (1957)

Fred and Audrey’s charming dance to ‘S Wonderful
Audrey Hepburn’s “funny face”
This is my favorite part of Audrey’s fashion show.
I love the “Clap ‘Yo Hands” number with Fred Astaire and Kay Thompson

I can tell how much you love this one, Kayla. Audrey is fab here. I love the scene where she dances in the club.

The amount of stunning fashion on display here is incredible to behold.

Thanks so much for joining the Audrey celebrations.

What an awesome review! I never realized how similar Funny Face and The Devil Wears Prada are to each other until you brought the similarities up. I’ve also written about Funny Face and, as I explained in my review, I love how incorporated creative ideas made the musical numbers memorable. One great example is how in “Bonjour, Paris!”, Maggie, Dick, and Jo were simultaneously shown in a split screen shot, a film-making technique I had never seen a musical use before. I just became a new subscriber to your blog! Keep up the good work!
